He graduated from Tech Memorial High School and received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He was assigned duty as a radio operator aboard bombers based in England. He was a member of the Moniuszko Singing Society and enjoyed reading and classical music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Zdrojewski Budzinski; a brother, Walter Budzinski; and a sister, Helen Niedzielski.
Survivors include a daughter, Bridget Snider of Erie; two sisters, Rose Budzinski of Bellevue and Frances R. Sundy (Benedict J.), of Erie; three nephews; two nieces; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
