	Obituary: GRANT, Donald L. Donald L. Grant, 85, of Manchester, beloved husband of Edwina (Bird) Grant, died Friday, (February 11, 2005) at his home in Manchester. Donald was born August 10, 1919 in Middletown, son of the late Daniel and Jean (Lamb) Grant and was a resident of Coventry for 50 years before moving to Manchester five years ago. Donald was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 30 years before his retirement in 1983. He was a Army and Merchant Marine veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion in Manchester. Donald was an avid reader and enjoyed boating. Besides Donald's wife Edwina of 65 years he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Forster and Thuy Grant of Georgia; a daughter, Candace Thibeault of Maine; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Donald was predeceased by a son, Craig Grant. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 17, 12 Noon at the First Congregational Church, Coventry 1171 Main St., Coventry with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Johnson officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Donald's name may be made to the First Congregational Church, 1171 Main St., Coventry 06238. Coventry Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke., (Rte. 44) Coventry, has charge of arrangements.
