    • Meredith W. Puckett was the son of Morgan Puckett and Susan Whitaker Puckett. Any marriage for him is unknown but in 1875 he petitioned the Breathitt Co. court to adopt the minor children of Elizabeth Childers Maloney, widow of John Maloney. The father of these children is uncertain since Mr. Maloney had passed before they were born. The children had been bound and apprenticed to Mr.Puckett (Mr. Puckett was said to be a relative of the children) by the court, His children were:

      B. Monroe (Maloney) Puckett 1860
      Martha A. (Maloney) Puckett 1863

      Mr. Puckett may not be buried in this cemetery. I am in the processing of trying to locate the correct cemetery. Some sources say he is buried in the cemetery at Puckett Bend in Vancleve, Ky. but I did not find him listed there.
