Young-Hills Miss Maybelle Elizabeth Hills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart S. Hills of Simsbury, became the bride of Mr. Kenneth Chester Young of Simmons Rd., East Hartford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester L. Young of Brewer St., East Hartford, on Aug. 22 at 12 noon in First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Avon. The Rev. Ronald G. Kurtz officiated at the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length silk organza and Chan-tilly lace gown and an elbow length veil caught to a cloche of organza petals. Orchids and stephanotis formed her bouquet. Wearing pink cocktail length dresses of Vemse lace over taffeta with matching organza petal headpieces were the matron of honor, Mrs. Carole Korotie of Mohawk Dr., West Hartford, and the bridesmaids, Miss Mar-celle L. Sammis of Massapequa, L. I., N. Y., and Mrs. George Keiper of Poqhonock Ave., in Windsor. They carried arrangements of pink summer flowers. The best manwas Mr. Rene P. Roy of Silas Deane Hgwy., Wethersfield, while Mr. James A. Hills, brother of the bride, and Mr. Arthur A. Eza of New Britain ushered guests. Following a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, in Windsor, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains. They will reside at 80 Simmons Rd., East Hartford, upon their return. |
